The Murray River, divides the states of Victoria and New South Wales and is a holiday destination close to Australians' hearts. Just 3 hours from Melbourne, it has been long favoured as a weekend holiday spot, as well as a staple location for those who love to water ski, meander in a houseboat or enjoy riverside camping.
There is a common misconception when it comes to the Murray and that is that it is the heart of motorised water sports and whilst it is a mecca for these, the Murray has been blessed with many quieter tributaries that are incredible when explored at a slower pace.
Ecotourism holidays are a growing attraction along the Murray and an increasing number of operators are offering unique experiences to help you get a little closer to nature. Basing ourselves in Moama, the centre of the Murray, we spent a weekend exploring some new and exciting experiences that truly capture the spirit of this special destination.

The Great Ocean Road self drive will allow you to choose your own timings, stops and is a much better way than an organised tour to enjoy all of those beautiful stops along the way to the beautiful 12 Apostles.
There are many Great Ocean Road Attractions and our 10 must see stops on the Great Ocean Road will have you wanting to take it slow, spending plenty of time at each stop and perhaps even doing the drive over a few nights.
Our Great Ocean Road Itinerary will help you to plan your self drive trip and the best places you just must see on this iconic journey. To see everything on this Great Ocean Road Trip Itinerary, ideally you'll need around 3-4 days, but the beauty is, if you leave nice and early, pick your stops selectively and don't mind a few hours on the road in one day, it can be done as a day trip.
Where is Marysville Victoria?
At the edge of the Yarra Valley and the gateway to Victoria's Alpine region lies Marysville Victoria, one of the prettiest townships that you can visit from Melbourne. Getting there involves one of the most scenic drives from Melbourne through the iconic black spur. At around one and a half hours north west of the city, it's perfect for a relaxing weekend escape from Melbourne.
